Charlotte NC Real Estate Market Report - March 2010 - Market Inventory
The Charlotte NC Metro 7-county* area months of supply of inventory this period: 11.5 months; the total months of supply of inventory last period: 16.1 months; the resulting decrease in the months of supply of inventory on the market = 28.6%.
The decrease in months of supply of inventory is a positive indication that our market is stabalizing. A six month supply reflects a balanced market. More than a six month supply reflects a buyer’s market and less than a six months supply reflects a seller’s market. We remain in a buyer's market in the Charlotte NC Metro area but, pricing is stabalizing and with DOM decreasing, months of supply decreasing, we're finally headed towards that coveted seller's market!
The statistics for the Charlotte NC Metro 7-county area include the counties of Mecklenburg, Union, York, Lancaster, Gaston, Iredell and Cabarrus. The 7 county stats are for single family homes only in these NC & SC metro counties.

(THE best Charlotte home search available - no kidding!)
