Debe, These are great ideas for anyone around Charlotte.. It's just a short drive for many in NC.. God bless, have a great 4th..
Thanks Cheryl! So many do come from all around to visit these places and just to tour the gorgeous city! When I lived in Hickory (many years ago!) we used to drive to Charlotte to go to the theatre and SouthPark Mall!
Yes, Debe - I am going to have to get down that way soon and see if we can "do" lunch.. I need to come look for some bargain staging props... I love coming but the traffic is a "little" more than Hickory as you remember.. God bless,
Debe, great attractions in your area. The Lazy 5 Ranch or Theater is where I think I would head although the racing school looks like the big thrill event. I didn't even know you could do that.
Cheryl: Ahh, Hickory traffic--IS there really ANY there?!! Come on over and we'll do lunch.
Gary: My boys LOVED the Lazy 5 Ranch--what am I saying--I love that place! The animals are all around you and the safari is very cool! Arts in Charlotte is seriously world-class; we have almost as many theatres as restaurants and the theatre is loved by all here!
What a great post, Debe. I love the Lazy 5 Ranch idea. What a great way to spend an afternoon.
Thanks Jesse! So did my boys--and I do as well! There's nothing lazy about those folks out there--they're constantly moving; caring for all of those animals and keeping the safari going is ALOT of work and they're oh, so gracious! They make you feel like you're right at home.
Hi Debe,
Being new to the area from Florida and with 3 kids, it's good to know these things! I can't wait to take my 3 year old to the Lazy 5 Ranch. It looks like Lion Country Safari where we're from.
Unsigned: Your 3-year old AND you will LOVE the Lazy 5 Ranch! Stay tuned for more 'things to do' in Charlotte! After living here for 25 years, I STILL have lots of nooks and crannies to explore and love doing that!
